Major Project: Update
Moving on from the last term we now head into the last stages of Pre-Production before beginning the Production phase.
After a recent production meeting our team of now 4 have begun working on our individual areas in close conjunction to get everything set and ready for filming.
As Writer/Director my current responsibility is to continue to work on the script to update and improve, with feedback from our course leader and the rest of the team. My other key responsibility for now is to cast the characters. Working closely with Wez, I will be focusing on getting actors that fit the characters to the best possible standard.
Working closely with other crew members, I will be looking to ensure that the script converts to the screen, ensuring each individual detail makes its way in and has it's purpose. By fine tuning the script and working with each member it allows for as much detail as possible and avoids the risk of under-producing in certain areas.
What's Next?
The key thing now is to work on the script in detail making sure all details are fine and thought out. Also to remove mistakes and enhance the story to the best of my ability with feedback from tutors and our team.
Also at the same time, ensuring rehearsals and directing exercises with the cast can be set up and performed. These exercises will help the cast delve further into their character and be able to break the ice of meeting the crew by working enhancing the character, which in turn should bring out their performance come production.
