Style of presenter we were looking for

Live:

- Quirky and energetic

- Clearly spoken

- Resembling of YouTubers

- Warming personality and fun to watch

- Female

For our live we agreed we needed someone that can inject a fun and lively performance that will grab attention and also be interactive with members of the public for interviews. We needed someone who can think on the spot, be ready for anything and be energetic enough to make people want to talk to us.

Studio:

- Clearly spoken

- Comfortable with camera to presenter work

- Friendly voice (not a mono-toned voice)

- Warming personality

- Speaks with hands to avoid formal/boring to camera piece.

For our studio piece we did not want it to be seen as a boring news channel. We wanted it to be a bit quirky, less formal and fun to watch. The presenter was key to this role and needed to find someone that fit what we were looking forward too.

Live Presenter: Candice

For our live we have American actress Candice Palladino. She is exactly what we are looking for when it comes to our live presenter. We originally auditioned Candice for the presenter role but found when it came down to the wire between her and Francesca, we couldn't let either of them go as they were both perfect for the role. So Candice went to the live role and proved exactly what we were looking for. Her bubbly presenter style with her natural American accent made her easy to talk to for our interviewees ho had no problem talking to her. Her performance as reporter was very strong and couldn't be happier to work with her even with last minute changes.

Studio Presenter: Francesca

For our studio piece we have Francesca Cain. She was brilliant in our audition and exactly what we wanted for our audition. She spoke very clearly and looked very natural being on her own in front of camera. Her style of speaking proved perfect for our studio piece as she spoke clearly and not too quickly. We also decided to use her for our studio interview piece where she also excelled.
