Critical Reflections:

Planning:

- We should have came up with a back up plan in case the the live failed, which unfortunately it did. We have to be aware in the future that what may seem set in stone can change to almost any reason and have a back up plan ready.
- Some of the equipment we chose, particularly audio wise, we had problems with on the shoot so we should have gone through thorough testing before instead of a quick run through. We may have been able to do this if we had more pre-production time.
- Potentially could have seen if we could have found a sound proof room for our studio and interview piece as these were disrupted by outside noise.

Live:

- Our choice of a lightweight DSLR camera shot us in the foot as some footage came out shaky due to the size and weight which made the camera pick up the smallest of movements
- Our location was not particularly exciting, in fact it seemed we were filming in a ghost town for what should have been a busy occasion.
- One of our interviewees seemed to speak unclear which caused a few issues with sound, while we were able to rectify this, it should have been noticed on the day.

Studio:

- Disruptions from outside caused us problems in the interview and studio parts, we could have maybe looked into filming in a soundproof room.
- Clip mics picked up interference from one another which caused static through the headphones. While being able to sort this situation out, we should have tested for this in test shoots.
- Some of the clips came out a little over exposed, something which we sorted in the edit but should not have happened in the first place.

Trailer:

- Left this a little late to put together
- While it is solid and professional looking it could have been better
- We did well however given the time period we were allowed

Positives

- Our Presenters and expert were absolutely brilliant, they gave the enthusiasm and life to the story that we wanted which could be for some a very dull story.
- Our story was solid and interesting and performed a lot of research into the backgrounds of games and the views of buyers of previous broken games.
- The group worked well together and produced a solid piece of work.
- Our YouTube channel and Website look very professional and are also very informative of what we are trying to achieve with a lot of thought gone into the construction and content of both.
- Both our live and studio pieces are strong, with an aesthetically good looking style combined with informative discussions to an specific target audience.

In conclusion I am happy overall with the way our work turned out. It looks good, informs well and I believe it has stuck to the brief nicely to achieve a good standard. Our channel and show looks professional and provides a light-hearted, informal look at gaming news. Providing stories for anyone from the occasional Wii fit player to the hardcore gamer.
