Commission: Critical Reflection Update!

We had our second viewing with Helen today to help improve our film. We found that there are areas that need improving such as editing between shots to help give the story a break and avoid it being to heavy.

An important point that I must remember when filming in the future is that when filming the documentaries to make sure the framing is correct and that it is also consistently correct. Make sure that I use tripod for interview and static shots and only go handheld when there is action and something is going to happen.

Also make sure that the main subject is available more often than not. We have had great troubles in getting Sam available for filming and now so close to the deadline it is impossible for filming.

We were able to get a lot more actuality and archive footage which was perfect however more would always be better. We struggled with availability and time, however I believe as a first attempt at a documentary for both of us it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
