Studio Production: My Role as Director
For our Studio Production Teach 'em a Lesson, I applied for the role of Studio Director. I chose this role because it is one of the most important roles within the production. While very stressful all the while i wanted to test myself and my ability as a director to further increase my learning and experience. Like many others within the course, it is my first time working within this environment but I am very keen on producing a solid production with as little problems as possible.

- Prior to production working closely with the Producer and Assistant Producer, organizing talent, creating floor plans and working with technical roles to make my vision clear and understood by camera, sound and lighting teams.
- Researching how other studio productions and live pieces are shot, looking at camera placement, shot type and pace of cuts.
- Getting used to jargon and verbal cues for cameras, vision mixer, graphics and AP.
- Undergo Directing workshops with lecturer, Del.
- On production, Direct the entire show, call shots, queue in and out talent and call in graphics.
- Post production, work closely with editing teams.
